Accountant (Australian Background and Xero)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enter records of financial transactions for clients
  • Run reports, data checking and preparation of exception reports
  • Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
  • Perform other tasks, bookkeeping and reporting duties as required

  • Enterprise Debtors
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Outstanding revenue report
  • E-Pay Reconciliation (Retail Stores)
  • Enter E-Pay invoices into EXO
  • Daily Banking entry - Corporate invoices
  • Stripe payments
Monthly Tasks
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • ESS Commission
  • Monthly Incentive process
  • ESS 152 and Data Complex Report
  • Accelerator bonus
  • VIP Incentives
  • CMP Trailing
  • Claims
Fortnightly Tasks
  • Daily Banking entry 
  • Stripe payments
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance or related
  • At least 1 to 2 years worth of experience in a similar role with an Australian client
  • Proficient in Xero Accounting software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Knowledge in Google Email, Calendar and Apps
  • Exceptional English communication skills both verbal and written (Good open communication with colleagues and manager)
  • Ability to work efficiently to a roadmap of tasks, and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of
  • perspective
  • Punctuality, flexibility, curiosity, enthusiasm, and passion are highly regarded
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy (eg. data transfer and accuracy)
  • Demonstrated ability to question (even challenge) processes to ensure an efficient outcome (eg. understanding why tasks are completed and the upstream/downstream impacts of their actions)

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and strong work ethic
  • A flexible attitude with proven experience working in a team
  • Point of Sale systems experience would be an advantage
  • Customised in-house software (fast learner)
