Accountant (Australian Taxation and Xero Experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  
Position Duties
  • Preparation and finalisation of Annual Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns
  • Prepare Individual Tax Returns
  • Preparation of BAS/IAS and PAYG Client
  • Use the CCH work paper software to ensure governance and control of team members work paper quality
  • Achieve monthly billing and productivity targets
  • Liaise with ATO to assist in managing all client dealings
General Duties
  • Faithfully and honestly serve the Company
  • Use all reasonable endeavours to promote the Company’s interests, reputation and welfare
  • At all times appear in a presentable and professional manner and act in a manner that will enhance the high quality service reputation of the Company
  • Attend all such meetings and other events and functions as the Company may reasonably require in connection with the Company’s business
  • Promptly notify the Company in writing of any complaint or claim made against the Company, the Licensee or the Employee
  • Not pledge the credit of, or enter into any contract or agreement on behalf of, the Company without the prior approval of the Company
  • Not represent or purport to represent the Company or the Licensee in their dealings, transactions or affairs otherwise than as may be expressly permitted in the Employee’s agreement
  • Comply with all of the Employee’s general law implied duties to the company as the Employee’s employer
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Accounting or related
  • At least 2 years of experience in Australian Taxation including Tax returns, BAS, Financial statement preparation, and related tasks
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Reconciliation
  • Experience in Xero
  • Proficient in Google Apps and MS Office especially MS Excel
  • Ability to adapt to new tools and software
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Can work autonomously
  • Experience in MYOB or any cloud-based CRMs would be an advantage
  • Must be willing to work in Clark, Pampanga
