Accountant w/ AU Experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Maintain records of financial transactions for clients
● Prepare and process payroll reports and set up staff payments in online system
● Data checking and preparation of exception reports
● Other bookkeeping and reporting duties as required
● Analyse and investigate annual and monthly financial accounts
● Undertake financial administration
● Analyse and investigate annual and monthly financial accounts
● Undertake financial administration
● Prepare reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements
● Do financial forecasting
● Develop and managing financial systems/policies
● Control income and expenditure
● Ensure compliance with taxation legislation
● Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial
reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural
standards
● Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and
other tax requirements
● Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to
project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice
● Report to management regarding the finances of establishment
● Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts
● Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use
of current computer technology
● Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain
solutions to business and financial problems
● Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the
property's description, value, and location and
● Supervise other team members. Up skill and mentor team members as required.

Requirements:

● A graduate of Accountancy, CPA or equivalent
● Background in Australian Tax Refund and Financial Accounts
● Experience working with Australian Self Managed Super Funds
● Minimum of 1-2 years accounting experience
● Experience with Australian accounting system
● With at least one year supervisory experience
● Experience in the use of Xero accounting software is an advantage
● High level of Integrity and with Strong work ethic
● Good Interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
● Team player
● Strong analytical and numerical skills
● Excellent use of MS Office Applications
● Google Apps knowledge highly regarded
