Accountant w/ AU taxation background

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily support to a team of three accountants managing their own portfolio of clients
  • Manage client onboarding process for accounting team
  • Manage client communication, information and document flow between firm and client
  • Provide point of first contact for clients and offer a high level client service to assist clients with appointment setting, document flow, general queries
  • Assistance with preparation of income tax returns, financial statements and business/instalment activity statements
  • Preparation of accurate work papers and files
  • Accurate data entry of opening balances and movements into MYOB AE for client compliance completion
  • Completing data entry of superannuation fund bank statement movements into BGL
  • Collate supporting documentation on behalf of superannuation funds for preparation of annual financial statements and income tax returns
  • Account Preparation for Self Managed Superannuation Funds
  • Establishment of Xero personal and business chart of accounts for Group clients
  • Preparation of tax projections for client tax planning
  • Management of ASIC compliance requirements
  • Administration and accounting support as required
  • Ensure compliance with Australian taxation legislation
  • Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
  • Provide administration support to company Directors as requested
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in Australian accounting
  • Experience in Income Tax preparation and assessment exposure
  • Experience in XERO, MYOB AE MYOB, BGL
  • Background in workflow management and client management
  • Background in Bookkeeping, admin/data entry for collation of data
  • Experience with ASIC document preparation and lodgement
  • Experience within ATO portal
  • High level of integrity and with strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills – written, spoken, technical
  • Team player
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent use of MS Office Applications
  • Google Apps knowledge highly regarded
  • Must be willing to work in Clark, Pampanga
