Accountant with Xero Experience

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Obtain Xero advisor and payroll certification
  • Process client Xero transaction and create rules for recurring transactions
  • Process new Asset Purchase loan transactions
  • Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger Maintenance and Bookkeeping
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable management
  • Monthly reconciliations for debtor/creditor accounts
  • Processing up to the Trial Balance stage and preparing draft financial statements for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office
  • Reconcile GST that has gone through the fund with what's been paid to the ATO 
  • Reconciliation of Fixed Assets 
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analysing account information
  • Produces payroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks, verifying finished product
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Undertake training to a level required to capture and process self-managed superannuation funds transactions for all investments income and auto match and manually match any remaining transactions ensuring to create rules for all recurring transactions
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts and end of year compliance jobs
  • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Accounting or related
  • At least 1 year of experience in Xero
  • Australian Accounting and Taxation experience would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in BGL 360 and CAS 360 would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Apps
  • Ability to adapt to new tools and software
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Can work autonomously
