Assistant Team Leader (w/ Australian accounting experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare client management accounts utilising our systems, including; Xero, accounts work papers, BAS preparation, Payroll, Creditors, Receipt Bank etc.
  • Supporting Information is attached to Xero transactions, workpapers and/or Xero file folders
  • Answer queries and clear roadblocks of other team members including calling suppliers
  • Review work of colleagues, including payroll, creditors, management reports and other work
  • Conduct Best Practice/Efficiency checks (review client inbox, use of software to best practice and provide feedback to team members)
  • Encourage and promote team work with all staff. Processes used for client work are in line with ethical standards and procedural requirements
  • Be committed to the firm’s future development and support of less experienced staff members’ careers and personal development
  • Support team members, provide consistent recognition and encouragement and set an example by demonstrating high energy and enthusiasm
  • Provide ongoing support to the staff and management
  • Encourage a positive learning and professional development work environment
  • Ensure the firm’s business interests are maintained effectively and support management decisions
  • Assist staff requiring technical assistance and support, in the areas of accounting and software
  • Assist with the professional development of fellow team members with training, coaching and support mechanisms designed to increase skill levels
  • Communicate effectively with all staff, clients and management
  • Assist in the creation of opportunities for fellow team members
  • Actively manage own performance by monitoring key performance measurements
  • Actively participate in the performance review process by identifying own requirements with regard to personal and professional development and utilise opportunities that are made available to develop new or optimise existing skills
  • Cooperate in a professional manner with all clients, staff and management
  • Be committed to the quality improvement process by participating in initiatives and making suggestions as to improvements and/or efficiencies
 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Senior Australian Accountant role
  • With Xero experience
  • Disciplined with good attention to detail
  • Knowledge in Superannuation compliance requirements, GST regulations and compliance requirements, Xero Setup and Conversions
  • Adequate keyboard skills to enable efficient data entry
  • Technical Savvy - experience in account integrations between programs for clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer
  • Excellent time management and motivation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be willing to work in Clark, Pampanga
