Fuel Delivery Planner (Retail Fuel/Bulk Fuel Delivery Management)

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Plan the deliveries of bulk fuels ensuring optimal resource allocation whilst providing the highest level of customer service and adhering to HSSE requirements and regulations
  • Monitor scheduled activity and adjust schedules to ensure sites do not stock out
  • Act as an escalation point for all carrier and scheduling related issues
  • Provide support and coaching to a team of schedulers in order to pursue continuous improvement
  • Manage stock levels at sites through consultation with customers and business information
  • Provide bulk fuel customers with quality outbound calls and action those calls appropriately
  • Complete the required scheduling reports on a daily basis
  • Update drivers regarding changes in legislation, road conditions and customer requirements
  • Monitor distributor costs and continually improve performance
  • Liaise with carriers and ensure they are compliant with all laws
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience in a logistics scheduling position, ideally within the oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge of fuel delivery operations, equipment and the dangerous goods regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • A passion and strong capability to coach existing employees and train new employees
  • Experience of working in fast-paced, high-demand, delivery orientated environments
  • Identify and implement initiatives to build the teams’ skill and scheduling capabilities
  • High level of analytical skills and strength in attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills; relationship building and networking skills
  • Degree qualified in Logistics or related field is an advantage
  • Critical thinker. Ability to make quick and intelligent decisions
  • The ability to be on call after hours and for early morning starts
  • Leadership skills would be nice to have
  • Schedule: 6AM -3PM / 5AM - 2PM DST
