Head of Scheduling and Logistics (Fuel/Petroleum Industry Experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan the deliveries of Bulk Fuel ensuring optimal resource allocation whilst providing the highest level of customer service and adhering to HSSE requirements and regulations
  • Monitor scheduled activity & manage deviations back to business needs and customer needs
  • Act as an escalation point for all carrier and scheduling related issues
  • Provide support and coaching to the Schedulers and Dispatchers to pursue continuous improvement
  • Manage stock levels at consignment and other nominated sites through consultation with customers and business trends to manage customer demand
  • Provide bulk fuel customers with quality outbound calls &action those calls appropriately
  • Complete the required scheduling reports on a daily basis
  • Update drivers regarding changes in legislation, road conditions and customer requirements
  • Ensure paperwork for vehicle maintenance is up to date and filed
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in a logistics scheduling ideally, within the oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge of fuel delivery operations, equipment and the dangerous goods regulations
  • A passion and strong capability to coach existing employees and train new employees
  • Experience of working in fast-paced, high-demand, delivery oriented environments
  • Identify and implement initiatives to build the teams skills and scheduling capabilities
  • High level of analytical skills and strength in attention to detail;
  • Advanced excel skills
  • High level of communication skills, relationship building and networking skills
  • Degree qualified in Logistics or related field is desirable
  • On call after hours when needed
  • Early morning start
