National Repairs and Facilities Manager (Fuel/Oil Industry)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement and continuously improve a facility management service which will include; ad hoc maintenance, preventative maintenance and capital works across a national network of retail service stations and other UP assets including fuel systems
  • Manage services providers and contractors to ensure business continuity with minimal disruption to the retail network
  • Manage and mentor a department of 7 - 10 employees ensuring they achieve their department KPIs
  • Coordinate Fuel system and Signage / Branding maintenance;
  • Maintain positive contractor relationships through various communication channels
  • Maintain and manage the CMMS systems ensuring all assets are accounted for and work orders processed according to team KPIs
  • Ensure the delivery of on-site services are performed to OH&SE guidelines
  • Promote department as first point of contact regarding maintenance issues and solutions
  • Provide process and cost efficiencies
  • Innovation and lateral thinking in delivering technical solutions
  • Work closely with the Retail Operations Group to improve services and processes in order to meet business requirements
  • Timely rectification of works
  • Proactive management of sub-contractors and third parties; and
  • Proactively reviewing and monitoring all work orders
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Min 5 to 10 years Building / Facilities Maintenance experience – preferably within a National Retail
    environment
  • Must be willing to work on Saturday mornings and also be available on call after hours
  • Technical knowledge of building and service station operations
  • An understanding of the legislative OH&S landscape
  • Understanding of risk and compliance issues and set standards
  • Ideally trade management background
