Shopify Developer (Knowledge in Google Analytics, SEO, AdWords)

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Team Support
  • Provide support to the Retail and Sales teams with regards to supplier information, product knowledge and general assistance with information on sales orders generated online
  • Assist the dispatch team with system operation queries including but not limited to Cin7, StarShipIT and MYOB
  • Assist the Sales team in uploading new products from suppliers onto MYOB and Shopify that have the potential to perform well
  • Inform the Safety Services Manager and Purchasing Officer of all supplier product/price updates and inform all Retail staff of any crucial supplier changes that may affect operations
ECommerce and Website Management
  • Ensure correct eCommerce website functionality through regular checks and updates to ensure product and price listings are correct
  • Work with the Purchasing Officer to upload new supplier price lists in both MYOB and Shopify 
  • Continuously provide insight, make recommendations, and implement changes to the online store to maximize sales, conversion rates and the average order value
  • Create and maintain cross selling mechanisms and data ownership within website
  • Provide SEO/SEM through innovation and process improvements
  • Leverage local constraints and maturity in ecommerce activation
  • Drive growth, develop and implement creative solutions to drive and convert more visitors
  • Ensure User Experience of the website including Design and Aesthetics, Content, and Navigation, Branding / Marketing, Performance and checkout funnel 
  • Own and manage SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies
  • Ensure a solid understanding of eCommerce metrics and analytical data through the use of Google Analytics. Additionally, capture and collate critical data in a presentable and useful way for a basis of a monthly report
  • Provide input to assist with continuous improvement in the overall retail and eCommerce product offerings
  • Optimize online merchandising, website functionality and user experience
  • Ensure that all Ecommerce activity is consistent with the company’s brand sense of purpose
  • In conjunction with the purchasing officer, implement all relevant product updates when receiving new supplier price lists in both the MYOB and Shopify systems
Systems   
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to build the company’s digital cross-functional support via our websites and digital assets, including eCommerce
  • Assist the digital marketing manager in the creation of digital flyers to promote new, bulk and discounted products
  • Assist in developing the new MYOB system to suit the company’s retail eCommerce requirements
  • Regularly review the Shopify website to look for image, copy or pricing errors
  • Building the online promotional calendar with Digital Marketing Manager and implementing site upgrades with support and collaboration from the team

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Information Technology or related
  • Proven experience in Shopify Development and Management
  • Understanding of Google Analytics, SEO and AdWords
  • Experience in maximizing campaigns and conversion of websites
  • Experience working with an Australian/Western market
  • Tech Savvy 
  • High level computer skills particularly MS Office)
