Talent Acquisition Specialist (with IT Recruitment background)

Duties and Responsibilities:


Job Descriptions:
Ensure the Job description provided by the client and communicated by the Talent Manager and CE reflects the detail required to recruit effectively for the role. Prior to commencement of activity and adding job to ATS (Job Adder) make sure you have details such as hiring manager style, job duties and responsibilities, employment type and other pertinent information required are gathered.

Recruitment Schedule: Liaise daily with the Talent Manager and CE for your business sector to confirm the requirements for the active roles you are working on. Proactively relay any delays or blockages which may impact on the schedule so it can be communicated to the client.

Sourcing: Utilise the Sourcing Specialist at the beginning of the recruitment process to understand the current marketplace and discuss how to effectively target the right candidates for the role. Prepare a job ad that accurately and concisely represents the vacancy and email it to the Talent Manager for approval (aligning it to the original job brief). Source for Candidates that fit the role using all channels available, including but not limited to, Bestjobs, LinkedIn, Jobstreet, Monster, etc. Throughout this process you are required to develop relationships with the prospective talent and recommend creative new ways of sourcing talent.

Screening: Promptly process and screen all applicants, proactively moving them through the recruitment stages in Job Adder. Use the provided templates to screen and interview suitable candidates and qualify their skills and experience using the Job description and screening questions.

Testing: Administer ‘Basic Test’ to all candidates (except those at executive level). Utilise the customised process outlined for each client and administer any additional skills test / profiling tests that have been provided (if any)

Shortlisting: Utilise the shortlisting tools to prepare a shortlist of qualified candidates that meet the job brief. Prepare Candidate snapshots outlining the skills, qualifications, accomplishments and strengths. This is to be presented to the Talent Manager who will ‘sell’ the candidates to the client in a face to face or Zoom meeting. A ‘meet and greet’ meeting will need to be set up for the Talent Manager to meet the candidate prior to presenting them to the client

Scheduling Interviews: Schedule candidates for on-site client interviews and ensure they are briefed on presentation, communication and requirements. Send SMS and email invitation for onsite Client Interview with  job description and instructions on how to get to Beepo to candidate

Debrief: Speak with the Talent Manager as soon as possible after the Client Interview and applying feedback for future improvements. Confirm the next steps for the successful candidate and advise the candidates who are not progressing that they have been unsuccessful. Update all information into Job Adder

Background Checks: Conduct background check coming from 1 former manager / supervisor and 1 HR

Job Offer: Facilitate Job Offer or EAF (for internal Candidates). Update New Job Offer Closed (online and offline)

Qualifications and Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience
● At least 1 year of experience in Talent Acquisition
● Advanced skills in MS Office and Google Docs
● In depth knowledge of candidate selection methods
● Excellent understanding of full cycle recruitment processes
● Hands on experience with an Applicant Tracking System – preferably Job Adder
● Exceptional human relations and verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to work on multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment
● Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
● Ability to effectively interact with clients (through the TM) to identify and process their requirements.
● Advanced Customer Service skills and ability to courteously interact with candidates to ensure positive
customer experience.
