Team Leader (Retail Fuel Station/Petrol Station Maintenance)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control the activities of the repair and maintenance teams across the Beepo Repairs & Maintenance and Pumps & Tanks Coordinators to monthly budgets. Ensure all works are completed within technical and operational requirements
  • Manage all tank and line minor works projects to monthly budgets
  • Implement and continuously improve a facility management service which will include; ad hoc maintenance, preventative maintenance and capital works across a national network of retail service stations and other assets including fuel systems
  • Manage services providers and contractors to ensure business continuity with minimal disruption to the retail network. Follow up on all outstanding jobs to ensure timely completion
  • Identify cost savings, cost efficiencies and process improvements cross the retail network
  • Minimise downtimes and maintain business continuity in respect of assigned repair and maintenance activities
  • Manage and mentor a department of 6 - 10 employees ensuring they achieve their department KPIs. Responsible for development of team skills and effectiveness in delivering repair and maintenance solutions with cost effectiveness
  • Maintain positive contractor relationships through various communication channels
  • Maintain and manage the CMMS systems ensuring all assets are accounted for and work orders processed according to team KPI's
  • Work closely with the Retail Operations Group to improve services and processes in order to meet business requirements
  • Promote department as first point of contact regarding maintenance issues and solutions
  • Review and validate cost, obtaining quotations as required and ensuring that the company’s Work Order process is clearly adopted
  • Develop and propose Planned Maintenance programs that will deliver a commercial and/or operational benefit to the company
  • Contract administration
  • Manage rollout of various projects, including pump upgrades and Diesel conversions
  • Manage administrative and reporting tasks assigned by Manager, including Pump Not Move reports
  • Asset planning and management
  • Contract and budget management
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Engineering 
  • 5 to 10 years experience in Retail services stations maintenance management
  • In depth understanding of tank and line networks
  • Solid project management skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • An understanding of the legislative OH&S landscape
