Technical Support Level 1

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deal directly with customers, on the phone, via email and online chat
  • Identify and solve problems by breaking down the issue the customer is experiencing and use multiple platforms and tools to resolve issues
  • Divert or escalate as needed if level 1 is unable to resolve
  • Nurture the customers in queue until they are served
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related industry experience
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Chat Support Experience
  • Basic Troubleshooting and IT Knowledge
  • Understanding of internet connectivity type and problem
  • Highly skilled multitasker with ability to solve multiple problems at once
  • Fluent in the English language 
  • Forward thinker with ability to work unmanaged
  • Passion for technology
  • Experience providing technical support to consumers in remote environments such as over online chat and email ticketing systems
  • Motivated to progress and grow with a great startup internet service provider
  • Ability to deal with frustrated or unhappy customers
  • Ability to stay calm and collected
  • Ability to understand if escalation is needed
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Tech Savvy
  • Background or experience in Service Desk would be an advantage
