Sales Assistant – Sales Associate Job Responsibilities:
Provide first-class customer service in a timely, friendly, and knowledgeable manner via face to face interaction. Acts as a liaison to customers who are looking to purchase an item. Demonstrates product knowledge for the benefit of purchasers.

Sales Assistant – Sales Associate Job Duties:

  • Keeps work environment clean for other employees and for customers
  • Attends team meetings to stay up to date on the latest sales and new products
  • Demonstrates how a product functions to potential customers
  • Meets and greets all customers as necessary
  • Performs inventory checks
  • Works with vendors to make sure that product is out and saleable
  • Uses experience and ongoing training to strengthen sales skills
  • Uses cash register or other systems to sell product to customers
  • Provides guidance to customers based on their previous purchases
  • Helps customers find products that fit their needs and desires
  • Acts as a liaison between customers and managers
  • Meets sales quotas to make sure that the company is selling enough product
  • Potentially drives a forklift to get product on the sales floor
  • Assists in putting product in a buyer’s vehicle
  • Meets with other employees to discuss upcoming sales
  • Makes or hangs signs that alert customers to an upcoming sales promotion
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures in order to be effective in selling
  • Interacts with co-workers in a positive light and promotes overall sales via teamwork
