Gold Coast businesswoman Aimee Engelmann is fast making a name for herself in Asia’s Offshoring Industry, and flying the flag for Australian small business as she does it.

CEO Aimee Engelmann is bracing herself for some exciting times ahead after capping off a massive second year with her start-up venture, Beepo. Not only has Beepo managed to grow from a handful of staff to a thriving company of 200+ employees across Australia and Asia, it has also contributed half a million dollars in the local economy, and more than $3 Million in the Philippines.

Since the company’s inception Aimee and husband Mark Engelmann have developed offshore teams and state-of-the-art facilities in the Philippines, and established upward of 70 clients across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Hong Kong and the United States.

It’s been no small feat for this 30-something entrepreneur who has managed to launch Beepo while running her previous company TLS Marketing, sitting on the Board of a not-for-profit, and raising a young family along the way.

Between the jet-setting back and forth across Asia, the speaker engagements as Australia’s leading expert on Offshoring, and the successful sale of her marketing business, Aimee has managed to establish Beepo as a serious player in Asia’s Offshoring industry.

“As a boutique business-owner who had some difficulties in the past finding the right offshore staff, I realised there was a need in Western countries that wasn’t being met – so I set about developing a resourcing firm that would fill that niche.”

According to IBISWorld, 25% of all Outsourcing revenue generated in Australia now comes from small and medium businesses. If you consider that roughly 50% of Australian businesses fail at their first Offshoring attempt it’s clear many of our entrepreneurs and executives need support when transitioning offshore.

This is where Aimee saw big possibilities for a firm like Beepo – to help other businesses grow their margins and build long-term success.

“I discovered that there were plenty of Australian businesses just like mine that were looking for ways to access affordable staff but were being held back by a bad experience or an antiquated belief about going offshore. I knew if we delivered talent, reliability and quality assurance to the standards Australians are accustomed the clients and the success would follow.”

After its first two years of operation Beepo is now providing offshore staff to businesses of all sizes, delivering premium services in everything from marketing, accounting, back office processing through to IT and customer service.

“If it can be done via the Cloud it can be done by Beepo. We make it incredibly easy to transition offshore – all you need to do is train your staff to know your unique business,” Aimee said.

In the last two years clients have visited Beepo headquarters in the Philippines upward of seventy times to deliver training to their dedicated teams. That’s training in addition to the programs Beepo provides, such as Hubspot Inbound Marketing Training and Leadership Training delivered by their Australian Training Consultants – Lead CI.

“We’ve hired and trained the best English-speaking, tertiary-educated talent in the Philippines to help Australian businesses unburden themselves from a whole range of office tasks.”

With this track record of growth, and focus on client experience and client satisfaction, Beepo is forecasted to grow to 700 employees in 2016 and then reach 5000 strong in 5 years.

That can only be a good thing for Aussie entrepreneurs and innovators, looking to future-proof their businesses in an increasingly challenging global market.
